Magazine Layout

I was a part of starting up the Swedish magazine Shape up, including magazine layout, typography, and concept.  I helped to develop the initial concept and design. The magazine is a women’s fitness and lifestyle magazine. At the time this combination of interests was rare at the market. The purpose was to create a more positive and encouraging concept rather than emphasising the somewhat unhealthy beauty standards that existed.

My role was to find suiting typefaces and cover concept mock-ups. Later on, I became the head designer as well and did the layout of the interior design as well as cover design. During my career at the publishing company, I worked on different titles and really gained a lot of experience in the field of magazine layout and cover. Check out Frida magazine as well.
